New Menu at Big Elma

Hello hello Coburg-ers!!

You might have noticed at Big Elma, we have a transformed our dinner menu to a post noon menu. To give you all a little back story…

Early in summer 2023/24 we patiently secured our liquor licence. This enabled our menu to expand into dinners and evenings. Realising that toasties and granola are not exactly dinner fare, Elleke, our chef, wanted to push the boundaries with her creativity and seasonality. Bringing fresh vibrant flavours to the table and so evenings with (Big) Elma was born. Intimate, cosy with a candlelit atmosphere, never pretentious, over done or extravagant. A menu that is focused towards comforting food that nourishes.

Over Easter, we had a mini reset. A little pivot or circle back to answer the main question; What do we want to bring to you Coburg?

Our answer was more delicious food, but with a wine focus. Yes, we know you love our brothy beans (pictured above), potato toastie (never leaving the menu), scrumptious sandwich selection and snack plates. This is why these will stay on our mid week menu and are available on our weekend breakfast menu.

We have explored the Coburg Market and built a lovely relationship with Fred and Tony. They help us source the best produce available and our new menu if reflective of this. We have orange and fennel flavours, vibrant herb salsas, roasted pumpkin and the last of the summer tomatoes.

Our new post noon menu is one which kicks off on Friday from 12 pm. It is available on Saturday from 12 pm until late and Sunday from 12pm until 3:30pm. In line with our trading hours (noting last orders are 30 minutes prior to close).
